Out of Hours Service
Cover is provided for emergencies at all
times.
If you need medical advice or treatment
when the surgery is closed, and you are unable to wait until we re-open,
please telephone the surgery number (Walkley House tel 0845 1222524,
Stannington tel 0845 1247333)
for the out of hours service.
Calls will be triaged by a nurse from NHS
Direct who will give advice or arrange for you to be contacted by a
doctor if necessary. 
If you need general health information or advice at any time of the day
or night, call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.
NHS Direct operates a 24 hour nurse advice and health information
service, providing confidential information. Calls to NHS Direct are
charged at local rates. Please note that, for patients' safety, all
calls are recorded.

Online is a website. It provides information on health care
issues and common illnesses. It also holds information regarding
self-help groups, local health care services and frequently asked
questions.
In a dire emergency, such as a sudden collapse, please dial 999 and
call an ambulance.
