Nurse Practitioner
Services
The nurse practitioner offers similar services to the practice
nurse, but in addition she runs a minor ailment clinic.
Patients for both the practice nurse and nurse practitioner are seen
by appointment, please contact the receptionist.
Health Care Assistants
The Health Care Assistants can take blood tests, blood pressure
readings; do new patient medicals and some health checks. Please
contact the receptionist to make an appointment.
Health Visitors
The Health Visitors are based at Shooters Grove Childrens Centre,
Wood Lane, Stannington, Sheffield S6 5HN. Their contact telephone number
is 2854519. The Health Visitors can offer advice and support regarding
baby and pre-school child health, pregnancy health, family health, and
information regarding local facilities and national groups.
District Nurses

The District Nurses are trained to care for patients in their homes
and to provide general health care and advice to patients and their
carers. They also provide treatment at clinics in the surgery. For
clinic appointments and any additional information please contact
the district nurses.
MIDWIFERY SERVICES
Antenatal Clinic: is run on Tuesday from 1.30pm to 4.00pm by
the Community Midwife, with access to the Doctor if required. Please
contact the receptionist to make an appointment.
Counselling and Minor
Surgery clinics
Counselling and Minor Surgery clinics are available. Access to these
services is arranged by referral from the doctor.
